2012 U.S Open Golf Betting Odds
With the flagship event on the PGA Tour now behind us, along with the Masters, we are well into the swing of the 2012 season.
Next up as far as Major championships is the U.S Open in June, which will be played at The Olympic Club in San Francisco, CA.
We are still about a month away, but that hasn’t stopped oddsmakers from coming out with their latest 2012 U.S Open Betting Odds this week following the conclusion of the Players Championship on Sunday.
With Matt Kuchar winning the Players Championship, he is definitely a name that will be up as one of the top favorites and players to watch.
But where is Kuchar on the odds?
Well, he isn’t at the top of the list to win at The Olympic Club, but he is certainly up there. The overall favorite is the defending champion and current No.1 ranked player in the world. That would be Rory McIlroy. McIlroy broke through for his first Major win last year at the U.S Open, and will try to win a second. The odds like him, setting him at 8/1 to win at Bovada Sportsbook.
As the PGA Tour season continues on, we are used to seeing Tiger Woods below McIlroy on the list of favorites, which at first took some time to come to terms with. But Woods is not far behind the U.S Open betting odds though, going off at 10/1 in the role of the second-overall favorite.
Then comes Phil Mickelson, who should have at least one U.S Open victory to his credit by now, if not more. Over the last decade or more, Mickelson has had more heart breaks at this tournament than any other. This might be his year to break through, going off at
12/1 to win his first U.S Open.
Rounding out the top-five favorites is Lee Westwood and Luke Donald. And despite being two of the top-three ranked golfers in the world, neither has a Major victory to their resume. Westwood has come closer at the U.S Open than Donald, but The Olympic Club could be their time.
Below, we have listed the top-20 favorites to win the 2012 U.S Open as available at Bovada, so be sure to check them out. If we didn’t mention your favorite golfer or their odds, they will be on there for you to jump in on the betting action.
