Baltimore Ravens vs Cincinnati Bengals Week 1 NFL Betting Odds
The Cincinnati Bengals were definitely not picked to be a playoff team in 2011. But that is exactly what happened, behind the leadership of a rookie quarterback in Andy Dalton. Now Dalton, with a year under his belt, will look to challenge for the division title in the AFC North, going up against the defending champions in Week 1 on Monday night in the Baltimore Ravens.
Of course it helped Dalton that he had a fellow rookie in wide receiver A.J Green to throw to. Green was actually taken before Dalton, as the No.4 overall selection. He and Dalton instantly developed a chemistry, as Green quickly became a household name among the best receivers in the league.
There is a lot expected of the wideout in 2012.
On the other side of the field for Baltimore, they are going to try to forget about the near-miss on the Suepr Bowl last season. The Ravens are picked among the top favorites in the AFC and pegged as the eventual winner of the AFC North.
It’s easy to see why, with a stout defense, and a much-improved offense behind quarterback Joe Flacco and Ray Rice.
At home, Baltimore is getting the edge.
