I’ll Have Another Scratched From Belmont As New Odds Are Formed

It’s definitely sad and disappointing news for the 2012 Belmont that takes place on Saturday. Just 24 hours ago, we were all preparing for I’ll Have Another to make a bid for the first Triple Crown in nearly four decades.

This afternoon, we are all left wondering what happened after the shocking news that I’ll Have Another was scratched from the 2012 Belmont due to an injury to his tendon.

I’ll Have Another was set as an 11/10 favorite to win the race, but will now obviously not be there come post time late Saturday afternoon.

So how do the odds stack up now for the 2012 Belmont without I’ll Have Another?

It’s Dullahan who is leading the way, going off at 33/20 on the betting odds to win the Belmont Stakes, which is just over 3/2 on the payout. Following Dullahan, is Union Rags, who is going off at 5/1 on the payout to take the third leg of the Triple Crown.

There will still be plenty of betting action despite the scratch from I’ll Have Another, but it’s definitely feels like a buzz kill in the air.
