NFL Draft Prop Betting Odds: Where Will Ryan Tannehill Go?

Ryan Tannehill might be the most interesting player in the entire 2012 NFL Draft class.

With Andrew Luck going to go to the Indianapolis Colts, and Robert Griffin III going No.2 to the Washington Redskins, Tannehill is that third quarterback who has risen up the draft boards since his workouts at the NFL combine and Pro Day.

Tannehill is a converted wide receiver to the quarterback position, where he found success at Texas A&M.

But the question remains as to where he will wind up in the draft, and oddsmakers are jumping in on this very issue.

NFL Draft Prop odds at Bovada Sportsbook believe that the Miami Dolphins in the No.8 slot in the first round just might be the place for Tannehill. Miami is in need of help at the quarterback position, and Tannehill is reportedly high on their list.

The specific betting line at Bovada for Tannehill relates to his draft position in the first round, not the team. The over/under position is eight, convenient that it happens to be the Dolphins.

Basically, the line breaks down to whether or not you believe that Miami will take Tannehill at No.8, or will he slip on down later in the first round. If he is picked exactly at No.8 by the Dolphins, the bet is a push. If he is picked before, the payout is +110 on the dollar amount wagered. If he is picked after, the payout is -150. That means that the odds favor Tannehill to be picked after No.8, but really the betting line is set up for a push.
