Sportsbooks Get In On The Round Of 16 At 2010 FIFA World Cup

The World Cup is one of the most popular sport events in the world, and every four years nations descend upon the host country with the dream of winning the coveted title. This year, South Africa plays the host role, with the first round of play already underway.
The 2010 FIFA World Cup is in full-swing as Group play continues for the 32 nations that began play. Four teams span across eight groups, with the top-two teams from each group comings out into the Round of 16 for single elimination as the teams try and navigate their way to the championship game on July 11.
As the World Cup enters the Round of 16 in the next weeks, Sportsbooks are getting in on the action. Sportsbook.com is offering players a chance to be perfect in the Round of 16, with a grand prize of $10.000 on the line.
If a player is able to predict each of the final 16 games correctly, the grand-prize will be awarded.
Currently, Brazil, Argentina and Spain lead the way in the line of betting favorites to win the 2010 FIFA World Cup, with defending champion Italy among the favorites as well.
The round of 16 begins on June 26 and will go through June 29 before determining who reaches the quarterfinals, semifinals, and eventually the championship final.
