Odds To Win Super Bowl 48 Formed For Final Four Teams Entering Conference Championships

Seahawks vs. Broncos The Favored SB 48 GameWhile the home teams didn’t fare so well during Wildcard weekend, the top seeds came out and took care of business in the Divisional round of the playoffs….for the most part.

Three of the four teams playing in their stadium won and advance to the conference championships next Sunday.

This includes both No.1 seeds in the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks. These two teams have been atop Bovada Sportsbook’s Super Bowl 48 betting lines for the majority of the season. That continues to be the case as we are down to the final four. A wager on the Seahawks is now paying out less than 2 to 1 at +180 ($1 wins $1.80) on the betting line. The Broncos’ payout isn’t far off going off at +200 (2 to 1) just behind.

The lone team to win on the road this past weekend was the San Francisco 49ers. They rolled into Charlotte and defeated the No.2 seed Carolina Panthers 23-10. It was the second-straight road playoff win for San Francisco. The win earns them a trip to face NFC West division rival Seattle. It will be the third time that the Seahawks and 49ers will play this season. They split the series 1-1, with the 49ers winning the second matchup in Week 14 at the beginning of December. Both teams won their home matchup, which would lean towards the direction of Seattle in this one.

San Francisco has been a favorite of oddsmakers despite the fact that the team is the No.5 seed in the NFC. They 49ers have been right behind the Seahawks throughout the postseason. Seattle will be the favorite in the game, but if there is a team built to win on the road in the playoffs it’s San Francisco.

The final team in the conference championship matchups is the New England Patriots. They are the No.2 seed in the AFC and easily handled the Indianapolis Colts Saturday night. It seems rather improbable that New England is at this point, given the extent of the injuries they experienced this season. But it also seems that no matter the adversity, the Patriots always wind up in this game.

The Denver vs. New England showdown also pairs Peyton Manning vs. Tom Brady. In total, the biggest winners of this past weekend might be the NFL. They get two dream games in the conference championship which might set new ratings records come Sunday.

The Patriots are the underdogs of the final four teams though. A bet on New England would profit 5 to 1 at Bovada currently. This indicates that the Broncos will be the bigger favorite over the Patriots than the Seahawks/49ers matchup.

This will be the final edition of Super Bowl 48 futures betting lines. Once the games are over, the betting line will shift to game odds for the matchup in MetLife Stadium. These futures lines will be up until kickoff for the Broncos and Patriots Sunday afternoon.
