Super Bowl XLV Props Predict Impact From Clay Matthews, Charles Woodson

Rarely in past Super Bowls have the top-two defense in the NFL met on the field. However, that is exactly what will happen in Super Bowl XLV when the Green Bay Packers match up with the Pittsburgh Steelers. As the No.1 and No.2 scoring defenses in the league, this game has the potential for points being difficult to come by.
For the Packers, they surrendered just 240 points all season long, equating to under 15 points per game. Green Bay ranked second in scoring defense, giving up just eight points more than Pittsburgh.
Spearheaded by linebacker Clay Matthews, who finished second in the Defensive Player of the Year voting, the Packers defense has been a driving force behind the success that the Packers have had in the post-season, defeating each of the top-three seeds in the NFC.
The secondary for Green Bay, led by last season’s Defensive Player of the Year in Charles Woodson, anchors a passing defense that gave up only 194 yards per game, and will likely have a variety of different looks for Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
Stepping up in the post-season has been defensive back Tramon Williams, who has recorded three interceptions in three games, with none bigger than the interception he returned for a touchdown with no time on the clock in the first half against the Falcons to put Green Bay up by two scores. The team never looked back in the second half, running away with a 48-21 victory.
