Wachovia Championship Betting Odds And Preview
The 2012 Wachovia Championship is set to begin on Thursday afternoon, as Tiger Woods looks to come back from a disappointing Masters last month.
Woods is playing for the first time since that Masters, as are some of the other notable names in the field this week.
Among those include Rory McIlroy, Phil Mickelson and Lee Westwood.
McIlroy won this event back in 2012 for his first victory on the PGA Tour. He will also be trying to gain back the No.1 ranking in the world after losing it to Luke Donald. McIlroy is the favorite on the odds to win the Wachovia Championship at Bovada Sportsbook, going off at 15/2 to win for the second time Quail Hollow.
Woods is not far behind though, going off at 9/1 as the second-overall favorite. Woods has also won at Quail hollow, though that was five years ago back in 2007. Still, Woods has said that this is one of his favorite course to play on the PGA Tour, and we know that he can win here.
Phil Mickelson is also playing for the first time since the Masters, where most everyone thought he would win going into Sunday until a triple bogey at No.4 put him behind. He was not able to recover, and came up short in the end. Mickelson is the third-overall favorite this week, going off at 12/1.
Lee Westwood and Hunter Mahan round out the top-five favorites to win at Quail Hollow for the Wachovia Championship this week.
There will be plenty of other players in the field looking for a marquee victory too though.
