We are approaching one of the most-exciting weekends of the year in sports, as the Final Four is about to get underway.
The Kentucky Wildcats will match up with the Louisville Cardinals in one national semifinal, while the Ohio State Buckeyes will face the Kansas Jayhawks in the other.
It’s Kentucky that continues to be the overall favorite to win the 2012 National championship, as they have been for pretty much all season.
But what about the match up in the championship game?
Oddsmakers are fielding a variety of wagers for the Final Four weekend from New Orleans, with one of the lines asking for the exact match up in the championship game.
For you lacking in the math department, don’t worry, there are only four possibilities to consider.
The favorites in the two Final Four matchups are Kentucky and Ohio State, so naturally, this is the favorite for the national championship game.
But by how much? Let’s take a look at the odds.
Final Four Betting lines available at Bovada Sportsbook have set a Wildcats/Buckeyes match up in the national title game as an even money favorite. Basically, what you bet, you get that back in profit. A $50 wager profits $50.
But then things get a bit interesting, with Louisville in the championship game.
The odds for a Cardinals and buckeyes championship game is set at +650, well back of the other two options because Lousiville is a big underdog to Kentucky in the semifinal.
the final match up option would be the two underdogs, putting together Louisville and Kansas, which is going off at +850.
Of course all will be know by Saturday night, with the national championship game then being played on Monday.
