This weekend in College Football action, all the top 10 teams in the AP Top 25 Poll took care of business on the gridiron. No. 10 Arkansas was the only team the had a bye on Saturday and the top 9 were all victorious.
No. 6 Oklahoma State and No. 8 Clemson were the only teams that actually did not blow out their opponents. The Cowboys got past No. 22 Texas 38-26 and Clemson rallied to beat Maryland 56-45 to remain undefeated.
Three undefeated teams in the top 25 fell on Saturday. No. 11 Michigan fell to No. 19 Michigan State, No. 12 Georgia Tech lost Virginia 24-21 and No. 16 Illinois lost to Ohio State 17-7.
Now that the updated AP Top 25 Poll has been released, the entire top 10 remains in tact. Top-ranked LSU received one more 1st place vote (41) and No. 2 Alabama did as well (11).
The biggest jump in this week’s poll was made by Kansas State. After their 41-34 win over Texas Tech, the Wildcats jumped from No. 17 to No. 12. West Virginia jumped two spots to No. 11 after having the weekend off with a bye. Michigan dropped 7 spots to No. 17 after their loss to the Spartans and Georgia Tech dropped to No. 20.
Georgia and Washington jumped into the top 25 after their wins. The Bulldogs are tied for 24th with Arizona State and Washington enters at No. 23. Texas and Baylor dropped out of the top 25. Here is a complete listing of the AP Top 25…
