Some new folks to sports betting may not quite know what Pleaser Bets are. Sportsbook Gurus’ mission is to keep the new players informed. Pleaser bets are very similar to Teaser bets in that they are the exact opposite. Teasers on one hand make a Parlay very easy while Pleasers make the parlay extremely difficult. Just like a Teaser, you cannot mix sports in a Pleaser like you could on a normal Parlay. Pleasers are only for NFL games as well. Here is an example of Pleasers, found at Online Sportsbooks, for better clarification.

Lets say its Football Sunday and you want to bet on some NFL games. You begin the same way as a Parlay by picking 2-10 teams. Next you find your picks and decide to bet on Seattle (-7) and San Diego (+14). Then you take a 6 point pleaser bet. Now here is where it differentiates between a Teaser. Instead of giving you 6 points to help you cover the spread, you take away 6 points to give you a strong disadvantage to win. So now the lines will look like this: Seattle (-13) and San Diego (+8). This now becomes harder to hit because Seattle has to win by 13 now and San Diego which originally could win or lose by no more than 14, now can only win or lose by no more than 8.

So in essence you are now given yourself more of a drawback, but in return you have the chance to win much more, with Pleaser Bets, than you would a Teaser or even a Parlay. One more example would be like this. You want to bet on Indianapolis (-14.5) and Houston (+4) and you take a 7 point Pleaser bet. You bets would now look something like this Indianapolis (-21.5) and Houston (-3), where Indianapolis would have to win by 22 and Houston would now have to win by 3. Predicting an underdog to win is hard enough. When you have to have them win by 3, it makes for a very difficult bet.

Betting Pleasers are really only for the keenest bettors around. Even the best sports bettors tend to shy away from these because of there ridiculous rate of hitting. You have to really find the games where you think the line is somehow beatable. These games are definitely few and far between. Some lines that might be a good bet are the ones where you think two or more underdogs will win. It might be wise to substitute a Pleaser instead of Moneyline for the sheer fact of the huge payout it provides. Pleasers have by far the worst odds at hitting but have the highest payouts of all football bets. Here is what the payout odds for Football Pleaser bets:
